Compressed Air Dryers & Coolers

A desiccant dryer removes moisture from compressed air by passing it through a bed of desiccant material — typically high-strength activated alumina — that adsorbs water vapor. Twin-tower designs alternate between drying and regeneration cycles to deliver continuous dry air. Desiccant dryers achieve pressure dew points as low as -40°F, -80°F, or -100°F, making them ideal for moisture-sensitive manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and laboratory processes.

Heatless desiccant dryers use a portion of dried compressed air — called purge air — to regenerate the offline desiccant tower. Standard heatless models consume approximately 15–17% of their rated capacity for purge. Optional Moisture Load Control (MLC), available on ZEKS Eclipse and MPS Series, adjusts the purge cycle to actual demand, significantly reducing purge air consumption and delivering proportional energy cost savings.

Refrigerated dryers cool compressed air to condense and drain moisture, achieving a 38°F pressure dew point — suitable for most industrial applications. Desiccant dryers use adsorption media to reach -40°F to -100°F dew points, required for critical processes where even trace moisture is unacceptable, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, or sub-freezing outdoor pipelines.

The dryer lineup spans from 10 SCFM (ZEKS Hydronix MPS Series and ZEKS HeatSink) up to 19,200 SCFM (ZEKS MultiPlex and XGCY Series). Desiccant models cover 20–8,000 SCFM, while refrigerated cycling models address small, medium, and large plant requirements including modular multi-unit configurations for facilities exceeding 3,000 SCFM.

Products across the range carry multiple certifications including ASME Section VIII Division 1 for pressure vessels, UL/ULC 508A for electrical panels, ETL certification on select ZEKS HeatSink and XGCY models, ISO 7183 Table 2 Option A2 performance compliance, and CAGI Performance Verification. Yes. The ZEKS High Pressure series includes the SCFX models rated up to 680 psig and the SS Series capable of handling pressures up to 6,000 psig with a fully stainless steel air circuit. These are engineered for specialized industrial processes, gas cooling applications, and environments where contaminants in the airstream would damage copper or aluminum components.
